FM Nirmala Sitharaman Holds 9th Pre-Budget Meet with Tourism & Hospitality Experts

New Delhi :- Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today chaired the ninth Pre-Budget Consultation with experts and stakeholders from the tourism and hospitality sector in New Delhi, as part of the preparations for the upcoming Union Budget 2026-27.

During the meeting, industry representatives shared recommendations related to tourism infrastructure, promotion of domestic and international travel, job creation, digital services, and tax reforms within the hospitality sector. The Finance Minister took note of all suggestions and emphasized that the tourism and hospitality industry plays a vital role in India’s economic growth.

The government is actively considering policy measures to strengthen the sector in the upcoming budget.
